Who we are
Akuadora Help is a community initiative of Akuadora, a company specialised in Linux, Unix and open-source engineering. We use what we know best (computers, Linux and free software) to help people on a low income in the UK.
We are not a registered charity. Our help is free, and we don't sell anything.
What we believe
- Being online is a basic need, not a luxury.
- Free software means a donated laptop costs its new owner nothing: no licences, no subscriptions.
- Reuse beats recycling. A working laptop should be used, not shredded.
- Respect. We help without judgement, and we treat your information carefully.
For charities and community groups
Small charities and community groups can ask us for free IT help: a simple website, email addresses, or backups, hosted on our own servers in Europe. Email help@akuadora.net to talk about what you need.
